How to expand Max resolution

I just want a few people to confirm for me:

I need to setup three projectors to output a super-duper-mega-giant-ultra wide display that is 11,520 pixels wide.  To do this, do I just need to put in multiple display cards and then use windows to create that wide of a desktop?

Take a look at either AMD Eyefinity or Nvidia Surround. It's actually really easy to setup.

Just grab both ands and pull really hard.  Get your brother to help if you need too, with him on one side and you the other.

Well, I got the greenlight to buy the company a 4070 Ti, which has 3 display ports.  The card specs list the max resolution as 7680 x 4320.  But that is per DP, not total, correct?  I'm pretty sure it is, but I could be remembering wrong.  Can someone confirm that I can get my 11,520x2400 resolution? (It's only displaying still images, don't worry)

As far as i know, thats the max resolution the card can do with either one port or ports combined. Thats the way its been in the past, but there could be updates with the newer cards i dont know about.

I'm unclear what your saying; is the max resolution the total workspace I can create with the card or is it the max size each port could put out leading to a total desktop much larger than that stat?

Yes, the 7680 x 4320 is the max size the gpu can output,but it can do that over 1 display port or thru more than one display port. On Nvidias cards, not sure about amd on this part, you can plug more than one monitor into one display port with a splitter also, but you are still limited to that same pixel density, 7680 x 4320.
