Logitech G335 vs G733 vs Sennheiser PC37x vs Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro

Is the Logitech G335 just a wired version of version of the G733 without RGB? Does the G335 have the same audio performance as the G733? How do both of these Logitech headsets compare to the Sennheiser PC37x and the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro. Also, will the 250 ohm version of the DT990 Pro work without an amp, or do I need the 80 ohm version?

Additionally If I get a usb hub and plug the receiver of the G733 into it will it's performance drop?

The 250 ohm dt 990 pro will work without an amp, it just might be a little quiet depending on the quality of the amplifier on your motherboard, 80 ohm is recommended if not using an amp.

 

The rest of those are gaming headsets, they likely wont have the same audio quality as the dt 990 pro.

If you are looking for a headset then i would recommend the epos h6pro. They are made by the same people would made the pc37x but it's their newest model. You get the high quality audio of sennheiser while also having a built in mic that is detachable in the case you want to use them as normal headphones without having an awkward mic if you are out and about. That being said the dt990 is an audiophile headphones and will likely have a bit better audio so if you are mostly interested in a headphones for music then it's a good option.

Headphones will sound better than a gaming headset, I can highly recommend the Rode NTH-100 or Blon BL-B60 in that price range, both are easy to drive with excellent imaging and for closed back good enough sound stage for gaming.  They will both also sound excellent for music or anything else.  Can add a mod mic to either of them and no amplifier required.

I'm personally a user of beyerdynamic (custom one pro) and i really like them. Beyerdynamic is also good at providing support for their products. You can buy pretty much all parts for it if they break.

 

What i recommend you do however is go to a good audio store and try a few options. Some will sound good but are f***n uncomfortable for you. You can get addon mics so just get a good pair of headphones.

I really love my dt880pro but they don't come in 80 ohm, and a lot of people say the 990 is a bright headphone so I tend not to recommend them.  The 770 are rather enjoyable but honestly at the same price the two I mentioned are superior.  Beyerdynamic is a great company that makes solid products that are very durable, but at this price point there is too much competition.  If you're stuck on open back I could also recommend the fidelio X2HR.
