Hello I'm here looking for ways to change the serial number even if it's temporary or just spoofing it[it has to be a specific serial number and not a random one] i'm talking about the serial number that u get from [Typing in CMD wmic diskdrive get serialnumber]
I would appreciate any help regarding this matter whether you have guides/or a software that can do this for me or whatever else.

Thanks in advance for any help
P.S this is for teaching/learning purposes and nothing else.

i see no reason why this would be necessary... even for educational purposes. (because why spoof a s/n if not for malice)

and i suppose there's two ways:

- hijack the system that fetches the s/n to report something else.

- make a custom driver that instead of reading the s/n from hardware reports a static value.

the only time i ever messed with a custom driver was to make windows xp report a compactflash card as internal storage, and that was trough some script i found online, because this is apparently a popular thing to do for retro boxes.

having no idea of the complexity, i'd dare state you need to be at least familiar with x86 assembly and the structure of windows drivers.

You're basically asking us how to make a fake ID... but for education purposes... I'm not buying it.  The only reason I have ever heard of someone wanting to fake a serial number on hardware is to bypass a an entry ban (i.e. you got caught doing something online and now you are banned from the service).

It must be true, I read it on the internet...

You're wrong there

Bypassing a ban is simple changing the normal hwid using public softwares that everyone has access to anyone can bypass a ban ^_^"

i wanna learn how to change the full on serial number not just a  simple hwid changer of 4024-F029

For educational purposes.

there's no need to argue about this either way if you don't wish to help that's fine there is no need to comment any further.

There's no grand purpose behind this statement i simply wish to learn that is all to it.

Spoofing a serial number has only one purpose, and to provide the information to you here would make LTT liable if the information were to be used nefariously and LTT be the source.

That said you will have to find another way to learn this information.
