Must be.  This was the norm back before smartphones and the interface was always laughably garbage while also being laughably expensive

I'd be amazed if you can even get the thing activated. The 3G networks are getting sunset, and some carriers won't touch anything that doesn't support VoLTE.

Back in ye olde days, there were special versions of websites specifically written for "feature phone" browsers. I forget what they were called, but they were basically rich text, and the very few pictures they had were heavily compressed thumbnails. It was like a last hurrah for the dial-up age. Mobile Internet only really got good a couple years after the iPhone debuted.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

Flip phones are pretty much dead at this point for anyone needing data. Many were still analog and you're lucky if you can even get them to use today's towers for phone service.

I don't badmouth others' input, I'd appreciate others not badmouthing mine. *** More below ***

Yep. Though most people only used mobile data for media messaging rather than actual web-browsing back then. At least, if you weren't a baller and had a Blackberry.

Well, 3G would have been fast for the mobile sites of that era. Or WAP sites which were mobile optimized.
