How much can i bend a ethernet Cat 6 cable before it starts hurting performance

Hi if it is possible how much can i bend my regular Cat 6 ethernet cable before it hurts the perfomance

it won't "hurt the performance" the data doesn't get stuck in a kink in the cable, it's not a garden hose. If you bend it enough to snap or damage one of the twisted pairs inside, the result won't be worse "performance" it will be either a unstable connection or the cable will just outright die.

Until the wires inside break. Theoretically you can tie really tight knots in an eth cable and it the braided pairs inside won't have an issue... but the general rule of thumb is less is better, as with all things.

If you pull a loop tight until it "straightens out", breaking the regularity of the four twisted pairs inside, you create an opportunity for crosstalk in that spot. It might not pass 10 gig, but it takes a surprising amount of abuse to goof it up for gigabit (and 10/100 basically just need continuity).

 

I had a coworker whose solution to a difficult cable run was to go Quasimodo on it and just yank harder. That doesn't work well when you're running cheapo Cat6a that comes out of the box twisted...
