Does anyone know what this is, where it is from, why they are doing it and how to make one.  Because I want it.

How do you set the stuff off, and what should you put it in.

You could try and translate the article with Google Translate. ( Dutch to English )

 

Basicly using Milk Churns, the carbide in a open field with grass and such and firing it with things.

Haha i used to play this a lot when I was a kid. Only that I used a bamboo instead of steel drum. They come in variety of sizes and strength. But the one in the video you posted looks too dangerous,even for adults.
