Switching Windows 10 from HDD to SSD

Flippern

Hey,

Whenever i start my PC for the first time while it's been off, it is really slow, and i've heard that switching from HDD to SSD is a very good solution. So, I wonder if I switch from HDD to SSD in BIOS, will everything get lost on the HDD, or will i be capable of keeping everything that is stored on there?

What do you mean by "switch"?

If you dont delete it or format it, everything stays.

You need to clone windows over to an SSD first. You dont lose anything.

Pretty straightforward process with the appropriate software which is free. You just need to buy an SSD. Preferably the same size or larger than your current drive, although there's wiggle room there.
