cpu stuck on cooler

hello people.

 

i was cleaning my old pc and pulled off the cooller and my amd cpu is stuck to it 

 

it is really really stuck. 

 

any tips to get is off and not kill it

Propane torch on the heatsink next to and around the CPU. After that twist and wiggle the cpu(with gloves on) while it's warm. It will come off but it may take a while.

I heard what people do is turn on their computer, let it run for a little while and take the cooler off. Then immediately turn the computer off.

That may do the trick.

No worries. Sometimes you really have to heat it up and most of the cheap heat guns simply dont get hot enough.

You pulled the cpu out of the ZIF socket?

 

 

if a cooler doesn't come out without the cpu, I twist the cooler while the cpu is in the socket, it always worked for me.

I broke my socket 754 that way.
