Need A 3/8 'Shock' Mount That is Not Terrible

Ty2525

As the title suggests, I need a 3/8 female mount of some sort. Does not have to be a shock mount in any way. In fact, I would prefer it not to be. A solid mount would be preferred because as fun as messing with shock mounts is, I am tired of having to adjust them or have half of it come undone when I inevitably smack my face on it while getting up from my desk.

This is either very easy to find and I am just blind. Or this is a novel new concept because I can't find anything of the sort. If someone can find me one I will give you a cookie. Price does not matter as there is no way for me to put a price on how annoying regular shock mounts are. Thanks!

Just to confirm you're looking for a mount, not an arm?

If you're just looking for a mount, what sort of arm and mic are you using?

Beyond Sloth's question is if your looking for an arm or not, what specific mic are you trying to mount? A heavy microphone has different needs than a light one, some are wholly incompatible with one another. Likewise the different shapes and diameters of mics necessitate different mounts entirely.

To answer both of your questions. I currently have a boom arm. Not a super fancy one, but one that doesn't look or work terribly. As you can tell there is a trend here: I don't like things that are terrible, to an extent.

The arm has a 3/8 male mounting screw thing that works great with my AT2020, looking to upgrade to the AT2040 due to the different environment I am in vs when I bought the AT2020.

So anything that would work with both would be awesome for the arm I already have. But if I can only find a 3/8 mount for the AT2040, I can wait until I buy the new mic to buy the new mounting hardware for my arm.

Hopefully that is enough info, but if you need more let me know and I am sure I can manage to share more info.
