i was wondering if we could mod a corsair 1000d to fit a Gigabyte TRX40 AORUS XTREME will not listed

You probably could, but why would you? EATX motherboards are useless

TRX4 is pointless anyways. Why not get a 5950x for cheaper? Just my opinion

5950x has only 16 core and for jobs like 4k editing and engineering and coding more cores are needed

Why the 1000D Specifically?

Why not get a case that properly fits the motherboard and have fewer issues?

No, threadripper has a lot of benefits outside of cores and threads.  (But also those.)  Those benefits don't show up for gaming, but for workstation uses they absolutely can.

Do you have the case, or the motherboard yet? I just did a SSI-EEB build in a case. I'll be home in a few days and can throw a tape measure on the motherboard tray. It's not the 1000D though, and it's an inverted case.

as long as it fits just simply drill and add more mounts... as long as the pci slots lines up should be fine but even then there are pcie extensions and mounts so...

back in the ye old days before atx (cant remember what it was called...) if the mb didn't have mounts there was a plastic push support for it.
