A bit of cable management. The USB header can probably be brought in lower and behind the fans. Hide most of the cable behind them. Get as much of the other cables out of the motherboard tray as you can.

The 24 pin and 8 pin power wires, you could always do up all black with a sharpie to get rid of the multi color cables.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

The USB3 Cable is so stiff and bad to move this is the best I can do I think

Cable extensions, L shaped usb3 connector (can be found cheap on Aliexpress), RAM with heatspreaders, a better CPU cooler, zip ties.

Love the painted cooler shroud!

Very nice and tidy little build. Definitely something you can be proud of.

That USB 3.0 cable sure is a pain, so I wouldn't sweat it. You could get an extension for it (there are low profile ones that use all black ribbon cables, much easier to fold).

The other front panel connectors are managed very well.

The only little tip I can think of is running the cables from the rear fan behind the motherboard (as in between the board and the motherboard tray).

It is very annoying to do on a finished system, as you have to take the board out of the case, so only do it if you have plenty of time/a different reason to take out the board.

You also have to be careful not to puncture the wires with any of the pins sticking out of the back of the board, but this type of fan cable can usually fit into that gap just fine. You can always wiggle it a bit before screwing the board in to make sure it isn't pinched somewhere.

IMO, the end result is usually worth it:

If you want to go DIY you could make one out of acrylic (probably white to match the rest of the build).

Just get a big enough sheet and cut it down to size, put some double-sided tape on the GPU cooler screws and stick it on.

It will "insulate" the back of the card, but it shouldn't really matter with a 1050.

You could even get some vinyl sticker material (forgot what it's called) and either have someone cut a design out of it, or carefully trace a design with a craft knife.

Better than trying to make one out of aluminium, having to cover most of it with a plastic sheet to prevent shorts, buying thermal pads and having to figure out a mount with enough clamping force to squeeze the thermal pads without bending the panel.

I didn't even think about painting the shroud, it fits so well!

I feel like now it doesn't even need a backplate, as the white shroud and black PCB ties it very nicely with the motherboard and CPU cooler.
