depends, how long do you want it to last?

it really differs from chip to chip. your matrix should be able to do it pretty well

Set to max 1.25v and go to town on the overclock.

shouldn't be unsafe.

Seeing that your member title is worst advice ever i will not try this :D

Oh, never mind. You had the setup in the sig.

But anyway, we can not tell you the exact overclock you will be getting. You have to try it out yourself.

just wondering what would be safe NEVER ocd before

well you should just try pushing your core clock till you get freezes or artifacts and go back to previous clock.

try going higher by steps of 50Mhz. from your stock.

then do the same for your memory.

don't touch your voltage at the beginning. when you have reached the max of what you can do without raising voltage, you can increase that.

that's where the "unsafe" stuff starts, because everything that's just raising clocks should be fine.

when testing you should use highly demanding games. I made the experience that benchmarks are more stable than games, so games will really put an overclock to the test. both tests are useful though. use something like crysis. that always works for me.

yeah and of course watch your temps. enything below 80°C is perfectly fine.

Well i used a tweaked LN2 bios for my old 480 and blew it's phases, it lasted just over 4 years, not exactly easy to give you exact life expectancy, just be careful and set a reachable target for yourself.

I have yet to get real dirty and nasty with my 290, was almost arrested for raping the 480 too much :P

Yeah, Battlefield 4, Farcry 3, Crysis 3.

Those are good stress tests for an overclock.
