Toshiba NVME M.2 SSD Overheating...

Amal Dev

Hey guys, i currently have a toshiba KXG50ZNV512G nvme ssd and its overheating.  The ideal temps are anywhere from 45 to 55 and the max load temp rise upto 66 degrees. Is it safe ? My room is actually pretty hot. My case hase enough airflow. The thing is, this ssd doesn't have a heatsink and is situated right under and centre to both the gpu and the cpu. So this gets heated up quickly. Is it ok to use like this or will it die pretty soon ?

depends on what the temp is thats being reported.. is it the NAND, or is it the controller?

Doesn't seem that high, my SN850 was up to 80C on high load when located under the GPU, now max 60C in a PCie adapter card...

I don't know for sure. I use Hwmonitor and it only shows 3 temps current, min and max.

Nope, all PC components (CPU, GPU, mobo, SSD) are safe up to 80C or even higher, so you shouldn't worry
