Unknown GPU

Go to solution Solved by doomsriker,

It’s a literal potato with PCIE fingers. Only order it if you are hungry for some mashed potatoes.

Recently I was on Amazon looking at gpu's. I came across an unnamed nvidia board gpu from "LIKJ". It does not have a chipset named.  Im 99% sure this is a scam but who im wondering what it is.

Info:

4GB of DDR5 Memory

PCIE 2.0

900 mhz core clock speed

1250 mhz memory frequency

Does not have Hdmi or display port, only a VGA port and a DVI port.

128 bit width.

Card can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09G3G9HCK/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_NMJS25XB177WXXECE31S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

This reminds me of an old LTT video:

Card to the very left looks very alike...

But now, fellow gamers, that was it for me. Please keep in mind, that this is just my personal opionion and I am no expert. Your system shall be cooled forever, see you next time.

Based off the other reply saying it was a gts 450/ around that class of card.  Likj also seems to have multiple most likely fake gpu's on amazon

The gts 450 didnt have 4gb of vram though, nor 640 stream processors

And no GPU uses DDR5 memory... "specs" are likely random just like the card you'd get.

That be a ye olde gts 450 or something along those line. A decade old gpu.

The giveaway is vga support. Analog support stopped a long time ago

The giveaway is also that shroud with green accents.  Virtually every fake GPU ever sold uses that fan shroud.

There's a couple different ones you see. One has blue accents, you can see it in the LTT vid posted above.

But yes this is very obviously a scam. Even the specs they do list make it clear you don't want this thing. PCIe 2.0 GPU's haven't been made in years.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.
