Best pcie sata card for hard drives?

matrixmodulator

What's the best ?

I currently use IOCrest since a while, had no problem but i need more sata ports for hard drives.

Either another 4 port card or i remove the IOCrest 4 port i already have and replace it for a 6 or 8 port ?

I have important information in theses hard drives i want the best, which one is most reliable?

How much do you want to spend? If you want maximum reliability get Lsi Cards (it mode)and sata breakout cables. They can be had on eBay for not a lot of money

Failure is part of success. I may make mistakes, that's how we all learn.

Here's one Lsi 9211-8i  there are cheaper ones, but this is a seller I trust. (not affiliated)

Breakout cables can be found on amazon Here's one. You will need 2 of them to use 8 ports
