CDPR released a big 60GB patch for Cyberpunk

https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/news/41435/patch-1-5-next-generation-update-list-of-changes

Amongs other changes, mods have been rebalanced, it gives me an excuse to revisit the game.

Do you plan to try the game again, or are you going to wait for a story DLC or New Game+?

Tried it yesterday just to see what has changed.

I really like that you are now able to get new apartments and change the look of the original one. The map icons are also a lot better now. AI is also improved, even though the AI is still behind pretty much any game that released in the last 10 years. The AI changes are very much noticeable and make the world feel more alive. Useless loot has been scaled down which is also nice. The expanded romance or whatever it is called are just text messages plus you and your partner wake up next to each other but they are still glued to where they were before and have the same lines as before so really nothing changed there. They changed perks and got rid of some useless ones which is OK I guess but it still isn't a good perk system imo. They also changed the in-game mods (for clothing) which honestly I don't understand why. The neon rims on bikes just don't work (at least for me). Also the reworked driving doesn't feel all that reworked. Most Cars are still under-steering like crazy as soon as you are a bit over walking speed and need to turn more than a few degrees and going into full drift when doing very small adjustments to accommodate the road.

1.5 also has a problem with nahimic and the game doesn't even start unless you stop that service (first game I played where nahimic was actually the issue and all other versions of CP2077 worked fine before that even with nahimic).

Its probably the best update so far but overall the update is just OK and it isn't really worth it to play the game again just because of 1.5 imo. It seems like they are at least going somewhat in the right direction.

I did a 65 hour playthrough at release and it looked and ran more than good enough graphically on the 2080 I had at the time so I am not really moved by graphical/performance enhancements. I'd like to see more substantive gameplay expansion did another run. Stuff like the balance and AI changes sound good but I would want more actual gameplay content, a major expansion/DLC.

The mods system was pretty hilarious, last time I played stats didn't really work properly or stack properly. Or do anything properly.

Like crafting and dismantling the ozob with high crafting perks and getting MORE crafting components.

Personally I thought the game was good at launch on my high end PC for 60€. There were lots LOTS of bugs, but none game breaking, and what mattered to me, story, graphics and theme were even better than I expected, like the first rescue scene or the corporate dystopian themes, human farms, and more. I usually wait one year before buying Bethesda games, for me CP77 was better at launch than Bethesda games after modders had one year to fix them. CP77 was better at launch than Fallout 76 is now.

I stayed off social media not to get spoiled until I finished the prologue and I was surprised by how negative reception was. Then I saw CDPR released a game that is unplayable on XBOX and PS4. Totally deserved.

The fixes on CP77 don't change the game very much for me, they just flash out most of the bugs and clunkiness. Like the tarots textures FINALLY shows when a certain characters use them (there were countless such bugs).

If you like open world, story rich, and ethical cyberpunk themes and crazy weapons, like you would find in Ghost In The Shell, I think you'll be pretty satisfied with the game. Just check your system has the chops to play it well. The game is really gorgeous.

Cyberpunk is one of those games which i have to make myself launch it and then all of a sudden - boom it's already the next morning. It's really hard for me to start it, because i know there is no multyplayer interaction, but once i'm in, hours just flyby like minutes. Only 3 things i want from itto become my favorite game:

1. Full implementation of the transport and BD systems. Riding the metro or the AVs to a BD shack where you can purchase new BDs or review the ones you have because i can't take it any longer!!!! I want to find out what 3 mouths 1 desire is all about !!! That means also the XBDs being available. If you are gonna make a brutal game, go all in and don't hold back punches with stuff you just mention and don't dare to show.

2. At least one good ending for V.

3. Integrating the cloaking cyberware and bringing back the crowd and traffic AI from the initial release. I really miss how full NC was at the beginning and how the NPC were walking and driving like real humans and not like now, when there is half of what used to be and they act like morons. The cloaking cyberware is the one that i wanted alongside the mantis blade every since it appeared in the first demo teaser. Still can't have it and it just infuriates me.

P.S

I didn't know the patch was already out, just tried it and the trafic is MUCH better than in used to be in the last version. So i guess they fixed part of my 3rd point.

The driving is also so much better now. Really becoming a great experience. And btw, the new apartment is really awesome. The vinyl playback is AWESOME. And what do you know you can finally change your V's appeareance...

This puzzles me because the less-than-organic crowd and traffic behavior was heavily criticized in the original release. It certainly hasn't gotten any worse.

Well upon release the game ran extremely heavy, but the crowd and traffic was realistic AF, especially when crowd density was set to high and the game ran from a fast drive. My poor GTX 1070 was begging to put it out of its misery; barely could hold 45FPS at 1080p high everything except for mid shadows. Then they "fixed" it and it was the same whether you install it on an HDD or NVMe. It ran smoother, but was duller. Now i see they brought back some of the initial crowd and traffic behavior and it still isn't as upon initial release, but it's much better than the previous "fixes".

The only problem i have with the new patch is that now that they reworked the perks, quickhacks are so much more OP that i want to get beck to blades for some close action. But can't really do it, because i'm maxed out at tech and int and there is not enough for body and reflexes, which are the both you need for fast slicing action. And i don't really start over again.

You must have gotten a different release than anyone else then. At release cars were basically like trains just following the lane they were in. Same with people who would walk until reaching a barrier and then do a 180 and walk until they reached another barrier and do a 180 and walk until... . Sometimes pathing was so bad cars would drive through barriers and people would spin in circles all day long. They had no dynamic interactions to them whatsoever and would despawn as soon as something was happening they couldn't handle.

Well.. i found out that even one more of the points i made earlier is now corrected - the Optic Camo is now available at some rip doctors but this late in the game, there is basically no need for it. Why? Well here is what happens with the new perks when you max V for HP, defense (armor), cold blood regen and blade critical dmg... oh and defense against mech and drones.

BTW after few more interactions with the MaxTac team i found there strategy really interesting. At first they usually appear 2 at a time and 1 is always trying to sneak in behind you. Reminded me of the teaser with the lady with the mantis blades, kneeling in the street, police in front of her and one MaxTac officer behind her with the gun pointed at her head.
