Worlds next biggest LAN PARTY in Norway!

MariusJS
Go to solution Solved by GJERDE,

The Gathering 2014 started Wednesday at 09:00AM, and as I've not seen anything about it on here, I am going to post something!

Only Dreamhack is larger, but The Gathering is more of a LAN PARTY! Dreamhack seems more CES-ish

My spot at The Gathering (I am sitting to the right, and my PC is at the top of my shelf):

And Dreamhack is the largest?

... But damn.. You have us beat with that name. The Gathering.

Just needs some ominous music  ^_^

Im far too introvert to enjoy so big gatherings but looks cool. The added bonus of LANs is that it kinda makes the trash talk from 13 year olds more tolerable since you have the added option of finding the little creep and kicking his ass.

Do you care if he lets you use it or not?  :o

Btw, there is one thing that sucks here. The wireless network. Trying to upload some pictures to Dropbox. 15 minutes and I'm at around 10% for a 3 MB picture.

Look at all those lovely PC's (:

I can imagine it would be quite cool to go to something like this.  That webcam pic looks like a fountain.

Please, thats normal LAN speed. No need to be like "OMG that speed" i know since i have build many LAN networks and got 10gb/s Backbone and all LAN visitors got 1gb/s down if they had Gigabit NIC

This year it is 40Gbit backbone, but in 2012 it was 200Gbit, at max all of us used 80Gbit, but it had a 200Gbit backbone...

They probably also use cache to save tons of bandwith.

And btw, MariusJS is a douchebag.
