Advancements in long distance wifi

WarDance

Where I am temporary living has terrible frontier internet 12 down and 1 up, however my aunt lives roughly 2miles away as the crow flys and has the ability to get gig internet. Are there any antenna/receiver kits that will work with out direct line of sight? Slight elevation difference, several 1 story buildings, and a few wooded areas in between.

Yes. LTT did this when they were sending signals over to his parents place on an island off the coast. I imagine the wooded areas are probably going to screw you, as anything in between is going to cause signal issues.

Although that does entail giving money to Elon Musk. And it's rather a lot of money, too.

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

I don't think this is even an option, the waiting time for install and availability is terrible.
