Haven't had a android besides the droid x2, which I got to say it was decent, I just use a iPhone for the sake of facetime and could text other people with an iPhone (which my girlfriend does have) without a service (just wifi)

Is it a stable or nightly? I highly suspect this is your issue (being an unstable custom ROM) look into Cyanogenmod 11 or so. I have always found them to be the most stable and best performer.

yeah, i had CM before, but then my battery is empty is 2 days without even touching the damn thing.

What CM was this? CM11 (kitkat)? It was bad before as i too was on the older CM rom but the new CM11 is amaze for battery life i can get 3-4 days of use out of it. Just dont forget to wipe dalvik/cache/data before moving ROM...

----

Also after some googling I suspect your ROM is a Nightly build so unfinished and full of issues. Move ROM. OR reset your phone to defaults (I assume you did the right thing of making a full phone backup before going custom?)

I can't say if it is you but I don't often have any issues unless I mess with things I shouldn't. If I'm going to mess about then I make a complete backup first.

Some people just can't get used to the way android is built and prefer the simplistic layout of iOS, I get that. But if you have apps crashing, there is definitely something wrong. Especially if even a factory reset won't fix it. My Galaxy S4 works perfectly and is just awesome all around. Much better than the iPhone I had before, at least for me.

And btw, there's more than one music player for android, you should check out some of the other ones.

I f*****g hate Android, it doesn't work for me, apps crash, music player is crap.

Is it just me?

Android apps aren't optimized for all devices, so some devices may or may not support one app, but support another. That may explain your apps crashing. Another thought is maybe your Android's skin is interfering in some way? I have no experience with the Galaxy phones.

About the other issues, just upgrade to a more recent phone with Android 4.4 Kitkat, or root your phone. The latest version of Android is pretty amazing.

I don't particularly like Android media, I do actually prefer syncing a phone so I have better playlist/play count support. Very, very, very few apps crash for me. Maybe your handset is buggy, which one to you have out of interest?
