Hey I'm new here and while watching your videos I realise you all don't do hardware  testing on the kind of games I play like Ghost Recon Breakpoint for instance. I'm thinking of updating my gaming rig. Any suggestions on hardware that'll make this game and other like it look and run well

Depends on what baseline you are starting with. What's your current system?

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

This post seems to be written as if it's addressed to Linus or the LTT staff. FYI, they don't interact on the forums much at all, and they definitely don't respond to individuals' requests for tech support or recommendations.

Regular non-famous-YouTuber forum members here would be happy to give you advice, I'm sure, but your post doesn't give us much information to help us help you. For starters, we have no idea what your current PC specs are, so we can't suggest parts to upgrade. Second, saying "other games like" Ghost Recon Breakpoint is pretty meaningless since we don't know what criteria you're using to say a game is "like" GRB. Rogue Company is "like" it in that they're both third person shooters. Horizon Zero Dawn is "like" it in that they're both open world.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

OK. Thanks for the heads up "Regular non-famous-YouTuber forum member" (wasn't joking when I said I'm new). Lol... I figured as much though. Either way I appreciate the response. Anyway, I figured the tags may have helped but I'm specifically in to 'realistic' tactical Shooters (complete opposite of COD). When I say upgrade, I'm aware of the challenges as it relates to GPU availability and prices. But let's say for a moment that's not an issue for me my current set up is about 7 or 8 years old and I just want to get new stuff, I'm partial to Intel (but I could be swayed otherwise) and if you're familiar with that game in particular, what would you suggest to be good enough hardware to run that game?

You should really cut to the chase and just post your actual system specs. 7-8 years ago doesn't really narrow it down much. Could be a top of the line part from that era or entry level stuff. Additionally, you should also state what end result you're after in terms of resolution, quality and performance.

As for what runs the game well, Ubisoft actually provide specs for a variety of performance targets on the game's store page:
