Would this be a good build?

iDqnnez

Cpu: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

CPU Cooler: Asus rog stirx geforce rtx 3090 Gaming oc

Motherboard: Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard
Gpu: Asus rog stirx geforce rtx 3090 Gaming oc

Ram: 64 gb trident z rgb (Might be overkill, but im not at all sure)

Storage: Seagate FireCuda 530 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive

Storage 2: Crucial P5 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME

Power supply: Antec True Power 1000 W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully Modular ATX

Budget (including currency): 50000 Sek (Swedish Krona)

Country: Sweden

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: This will be used for gaming (Graphic heavy games, Gta 5, Rdr 2, Far cry 6 etc). But mostly for 3d, which includes modeling, simulations, real time game creating in UE 5. Don't really wanna have to think about if my computer can handle a big scene in a UE 5.

Other details: Not my first build, but not super experienced. Im just genneraly worried if it would be overkill, or underkill.

Yeah but you can save at least 200-250 on the board alone already and even get a 5950x then for no extra price.

But I'm lacking info here too. The ram what cl latency is it and what frequency?

How much is this build you configured?

What case did you take?

That psu should NOT be used again. It's from 2007 and is for sure not going to work with a 3090 spiking like it does. If it does I don't expect it to last long and protect the hardware well.

You buy a 3090 just to use the cooler of it on the CPU? 😛

Looks good except the PSU, get something new and good for such a build.

A literal pile of trash unfortunately

Only good things are the crucial p5 and the psu

Board is overkill and not for ambient overclocking, only useful if you are extreme overclocking or using a chiller to cool your cpu (phase change or waterchiller), if you dont then the board is just an expensive paperweight. A better option would be the x570 tomahawk or tuf x570 plus. If you arent gonna use more than 2 gen4 drives or dual gpu or whatever that needs 4.0 chipset lanes then go b550 instead, id reccomend the b550 tomahawk, gaming carbon, steel legend, extreme4, or pg velocita

Im gonna assume its 4x16 ram which is terrible cause it stresses the crap out of the cpu imc, go for 2x32 instead and get the cheapest rgb rams cause no diff in performance anyways if you arent overclocking

If you can, get cheaper gen4 ssds and also consider more storage

I would go with a 1000W PSU for the 3090. I hear it gets a lot of sudden power spikes so having that extra PSU room.

Trident Z's are pretty expensive so you could save money there by going with a different brand. If you like the look though, you can stick with it.

Maybe just get a 2TB Crucial P5 Plus instead.

Looks like an awesome build though!

I'd really go with more power supply headroom. I don't understand why two different SSDs, but that doesn't make it bad choice.

I have the Strix 3090 White Edition, and I can say that 750W is not enough. Just to be safe, I probably wouldn't use it on a 3070 just cause of the spikes. I use the ROG - THOR - 1200P PSU. It's 1200W. I'm still woried about power spikes. So I would go with something like an EVGA Supernova 1300P+. It's the same price as an 850W Corsair supply on Newegg, but SO much better. I would reccomend the one I have, but I'm a biased Strix fanboy. It still works and pleases me well. I would reccomend a 1600W from Corsair but that might not fit in your budget. I also would reccomend an NZXT E1000, but a lot of people for some reason hate NZXT so I didn't put it first. I just used the 1300P+ because it's an amazing price from a reliable company, and it's not one of those random ones that instantly break.
