After changing thermal paste on a gpu, pc won't boot

Ill.Skillz

So, after watching a video about K5 pro i decided to give it a shot and a wanted to change thermal paste anyway. But after I did that my pc won't boot with vga error. I disassemble gpu again and with a careful inspection of the die, i saw strange hair like mark on a die. Its not bumpy i cant feel it with my finger and its barley visible. Is that a crack? I was well aware that die can crack and i was really careful, tightening heatsink evenly from every sides in a X pattern. There's no visual damage on the pcb or components, but right befor motherboard turns on vga failure led, gpus rgb is sorta restarting. Based on that im thinking that gpu is rebooting when it tries to deliver more power to the die. May be its a power delivery problem because i used liquid thermal pads on mosfets and diods, or it is just mine rejection stage

Thermal paste is only applied to the processor in the middle of graphics card.

You need to remove the other thermal paste from the other components.

That is why there are thermal strips that is shown on the other half of gpu body.

My guess is there's a short somewhere on the board. You could try cleaning everything up, and going back to a stock config, if possible.

Thermal pads on ram/vrm and regular paste on GPU.

See if you can get the card to boot when setup similar to stock.

So, I took it to a restore shop. They told me that there's a short somewhere in memory line. I have no f idea how would that happened since i just applied thermal grace and thats it. Anyway, they charged me 270$ to fix it(
