It may have not been fully engaged. The lever should be about totally flat against the motherboard. But, once a heat sink is on there, it wont be able to come off... So just make sure none of the CPU pins are bent, if not, put it back in, mount the heat sink, and you will be fine 🙂

So the CPU was installed correctly but it will still fall unless I install my fan cooler because the heatsink will keep it in place?

It shouldn't fall out like that, I imagine the lever was not fully down, or the CPU was not fully inserted before you pulled the lever down. But... AMD mounting is a bit strange compared to intel. Just try again, and as long as its fully seated just go ahead and install the heatsink.

It fell into the socket effortlessly and I did pull the lever down all the way.

Yes, looks like the CPU isn't actually in, you shouldn't see the pins anymore. Need to lift the lever fully up so the socket opens and the CPU can get in. THEN you lower and latch it to lock.

Thx for the help. Now i have bent the pins so it fits right into the socket.

But when I pull the lever there is alot more resistance and it makes a little sound aswell.

Will i damage the pins if i pull down the lever?

How am I trolling?

The lever requires alot of force to pull down and it does not at all seem as effortless like in the videos.

Im going to give you the benefit of the doubt this isn't just a prank.

The CPU is turned the wrong way and if you bent pins and/or lowered the locking lever with it that way you probably destroyed it.

If you actually watched videos, you apparently failed to notice the orientation of the Ryzen logo silkscreen, or the triangle in the corner that shows you which way it goes in the socket.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. The text on the CPU alligns with the one on the socket.

As u can see there is a triangle on the top left corner which is where i put my golden triangle on my CPU.

It's very difficult to see in your overly zoomed, tightly-cropped photos. Maybe it's facing the right way.

Regardless, if you are bending pins you've done something wrong, and most people live in fear of being CPU pins accidentally, so saying you did it on purpose is what makes people think you're trolling.

It should not require that much force to push the lever down. Don't force it.

Take the CPU out and check if there are any bent pins on the CPU from where it fell out. If there's no bent pins try placing it back in the socket again. It should drop right in to place in the socket without any force required.

The pins were bent out of the box cuz I bought it second hand and the guy put them in incorreclty. Bending pins the CORRECT way is not at all trolling. Since I actually do watch yt videos i learnt it from dis one.

At no prior point did you say anything about the CPU coming with pins bent or it being secondhand. All you told us is "OK I bent the pins and it goes in now." What are we supposed to think?

Is the board new or is that secondhand also?

If you don't understand look at the other part of the thread???!!!!

There is nothing that tells us anything that it is a second hand CPU with bent pins before your post above.

And if you have straitened the pins, write that and not that you had to bend them to get it in the socket.

You are asking for advice and don't give us all the details and you have the guts to be rude to us that is trying to help that we don't know something that you had not told us. That is not cool....
