Each have their merits

The LG has slightly better pixel response and can natively OC to 160hz, but the Gigabyte has better factory calibration, contrast, uniformity, and has BFI that works with VRR above 120fps.

IMO the Gigabyte is the better choice.

it's clear-cut for me, no reason to get the LG over the gigabyte.

I have constant issues with the HDR modes on my LG monitors, though I have the 27" 2k 165hz and the 27" 2k 144hz, not the 4k model.

The gigabyte M models have been great for me. I used a m27q that had the weird bgr pixel layout, everything else was great.

Got a m32q for my sons ps5 this week and it's been awesome. No issues at all and use the RGB pixel layout.

I just ordered the M32U for my series x today. It's a little pricey but every 4k 144hz monitor is.  I think you'll be happy with the gigabyte they've been great for me

No cpu mobo or ram atm

To be fair HDR is garbage on both. I'd say LG has a lot more experience with HDR displays because they have some of the best HDR TVs out there, but idk how this translates to their monitor division. My 27GN950-B had no issues with HDR whatsoever.

Out of these two the Gigabyte is better, and that while being cheaper.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
