HTC One M8

Hey guys so I just bought a HTC One M8. From the S3, it's much better for me. Although, one problem is the LED notification. I get it when I charge my phone(red) and finish charging(green). When it's low on battery(blinking red) But why can't I get any LED for whatsapp or facebook notifications? I use to get this on the S3. Is there any way to get it for the M8?

 

Also, since it's brand new, should I run the battery down then charge it fully back up? Are you supposed to do that?

The LED used by HTC is not RGB whereas the galaxy/nexus phones have RGB.

I don't mind if it's just green and red, but there aren't ANY LED notifications for whatsapp and 3rd party apps

Use lightflow app from the app store. I HIGHLY reccomend the paid version as the free one lacks alot of functionality you really want. BTW in the whatsapp settings there should be an option to enable this.

Yeah I did set the led as blue and green but neither work!!

Well your only option is rooting ( you aren't going to do that i would guess.) or getting the LightFlow app ( paid version unfortunatally.)

Nope, modern batteries are much more intelligent now

Just found out it doesn't actually work on the One at all. Need to root and if you root there are only 3 different colours ugh!

I find lite flow terrible on my nexus 5. It only works 10% of the time and crashes a lot. Super annoying coming from a blackberry I'm used to reliable and custom led notifications.
