I can’t find this adapter anywhere

Where can I find and purchase a “USB 3.2 Gen 1 to USB 3.2 Gen 2 header adapter”


I have searched for hours but can not find this anywhere and have seen no one ever mention it I need it to connect my mother board to the case, if anyone knows what this is or another alternative please help

What precisely do you mean by that, one of these?

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7

what case and board do you have?

Good luck, Have fun, Build PC, and have a last gen console for use once a year. I should answer most of the time between 9 to 3 PST

NightHawk 3.0: R7 5700x @, B550A vision D, H105, 2x32gb Oloy 3600, Sapphire RX 6700XT  Nitro+, Corsair RM750X, 500 gb 850 evo, 2tb rocket and 5tb Toshiba x300, 2x 6TB WD Black W10 all in a 750D airflow.
GF PC: (nighthawk 2.0): R7 2700x, B450m vision D, 4x8gb Geli 2933, Strix GTX970, CX650M RGB, Obsidian 350D

Skunkworks: R5 3500U, 16gb, 500gb Adata XPG 6000 lite, Vega 8. HP probook G455R G6 Ubuntu 20. LTS

Condor (MC server): 6600K, z170m plus, 16gb corsair vengeance LPX, samsung 750 evo, EVGA BR 450.

Spirt  (NAS) ASUS Z9PR-D12, 2x E5 2620V2, 8x4gb, 24 3tb HDD. F80 800gb cache, trueNAS, 2x12disk raid Z3 stripped

That was close but instead of a 3.0 gen to a 3.1 gen, I need a USB 3.1 gen to 3.2 gen adapter

wait so are you after a type A front header to a type C?
because the first part of the USB standard doesn't matter, 3.0 became 3.1 which became 3.2

That's what threw me as AFAIK there is only those two connectors, the USB 3.x Type A and the USB 3.x type C.

I assume the difference is the type C may carry the extra pins for thunderbolt, etc whereas the type A is USB only.

I think its more about power, USB-C supports a bunch of different voltages vs 5V at 1-3A

There's a lot more than just power delivery that USB-C opens up.
