Cpu and board are a waste, you wont be overclocking judging by that cooler, and a 5800x is prob a better value anyways

Cooler is overpriced and uneccesary, any decent dual tower or single tower will work

There are cheaper rgb rams out there

Case has garbage airflow

Because you arent using an 11th gen cpu the top m.2 slot is disabled because 10th gen only has pcie 3.0 but 11th gen has pcie 4.0 support

Tbh just go ryzen or 12th gen, also k cpu and z boards are a waste of money of you dont overclock, but if k cpu is a similar price to non k cpu might aswell to harness extra resale value when you sell it

Rocket Lake = 11th gen, your CPU is a 10th gen.

I wouldnt build on this platform though since the only upgrades without changing the motherboard sucks. 12600k or 5600x are both faster with upgrades that make sense.

No, not related. 11th gen has 4 dedicated lanes for the top M.2 slot just like Ryzen but 10th gen (and past generations) dont

Ohhh now the disabling of the m.2 slot makes sense, i also thought "cant they just use pcie 3.0 on the top slot instwad of disabling it"

Welp thanks for correcting me xD

GALAX GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 8 GB EX Video Card (my old one waiting for a good deal for new on)

Since this is your old gpu, what is your  current pc specs? (Full specs incl things like case, psu, cooler, etc) Cause you might be able to reuse some components off it, usually sotrage is the thing thats almost always reusable, though you may have a psu or cooler or something that could be reused aswell

Tbh that build is still good, just add a cheap 4 heatpipe tower like gammax 400 or se 224 xt and youll be good for a few more years gaming on that

Pretty sure you felt that its slow because that cpu cooler is garbage so swap cpu cooler and youll see what i mean

Since you also have a z board for some reason raise the bclk to 103 and lock cpu multiplier to 46, this should result in ~4.73ghz all core which will give even more of a boost to cpu performance

Id suggest waiting a few more years and instead upgrade the gpu cause that cpu certainly isnt a bottleneck
