Mixing XMP 1.0 and XMP 2.0 ram-kits?

Big price differences between 2 kits makes me question if its even worth paying more for XMP 2.0.

 

But seeing as i buyed a package with that kit and im now realising its 700NOK/65-70€ more than the XMP version 1.0, is it even worth it?

And does it even matter when it comes to XMP?

Will this have any matter? Only difference i see is a "D" than a "Z" on the kit 🤔

I also drive a volvo as one does being norwegian haha, a volvo v70 d3 from 2016.

Reliability was a key thing and its my second car, working pretty well for its 6 years age xD

It's not worth it. XMP 2.0 has more capacity in the SPD chip which allows more timings to be programmed into it. Not all memory brands bothered to make use of it and some board makers outright program the BIOS to ignore the extra numbers because they are often way to loose than what is necessary.

 

It doesnt affect its usage tho, mixing kits is a problem even if XMP profiles are the same.

Alright, will go for the XMP 2.0 then, supposed to get the first kit today or tomorrow.
