Any tips and tricks on how to clean a dirty mousepad?

Mine is washing machine safe so I place mine in the laundry along side the bath mats and towels once a week. I used to use this method with my last pad though, just with shampoo and it worked well enough. I have no idea if this is a good way to clean it I only know it worked for me.

I just fill the sink with soap and hot water, let it soak for a bit. Scrub it then hang dry it in the shower.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

They are just slabs of cloth so anything like this should be fine. It likely doesn't matter as long as soap and water gets used.

Yes and no, if its patterned you run the risk of washing out colors and if it's rubber on the bottom, there's a melting/shrinkage if you dry it too hot.

That's a good point, I didn't consider pads with a design on them and I should have specified any method IF HAND WASHING should avoid melting the rubber.
