UnRAID Remote Gaming Server Motherboard Help

shouja_

Budget (including currency):  $200 - $300

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: UnRAID, Remote Gaming/Workstation VM

Other details Hey LTT Community! This is my first post after being a huge fan of the channel for years. So I have a question about what you all would recommend for a motherboard. I have some older hardware sitting around and I want to build a new home server... I have:

two 5690's

two 5650's

GTX 970

48 GB of ECC ram

600w PSU

4U chassis

These are all just sitting around from an old server I used to use for game server hosting and some other homelab kind of stuff and I want to give it a new life. I'm looking at either something like an older supermicro dual socket board or an x58 board. I want to run UnRAID or ESXi with a gaming VM running parsec or something similar and move my NAS with a few docker containers / plex server over to it.

Thanks for any help... (feel free to call me stupid too I know this is kind of a whack build, I just want a cheap fun project for winter)
