I have checked that one before, unfortunately it's 90$ more than the LG 27GP850, the non "QD" MSI monitor is pretty much same price as the LG one, not sure how much difference the Quantum Dots make.

non-qd isn't worth it, unfortunately i only have US pricing, i think these are my picks for each price points

300 LG 27GL83A-B, m27q

400 QD

500 gp850

if there's a massive price gap between the gl850/83A and the gp850, then it's not really worth the price diff

Hello,

I am looking to upgrade my TN 144Hz 1080p 24 inch LG monitor that I was using for 5+ years now. I will pass it to my friend.

My main pick is currently LG 27GP850 - G-sync compatible (180Hz) <- also the most expensive, 50-100$ more than any listed below

Other possibilities are:

LG 27GN800 - G-sync compatible (144Hz)

MSI Optix G273QF - G-sync compatible (165Hz)

ASUS TUF VG27AQ1A - G-sync compatible (170Hz)

DELL S2721DGFA- no G-sync (165Hz)

Acer Nitro XV272UPbmiiprzx - no G-sync (170Hz)

Acer Nitro VG271UP- no G-sync (144Hz)

If you have experience with any of these monitors please let me know 🙂

I will most likely stick to the LG, had no issues with LG monitors yet. I am not sure about DELL, I had 4K one at work and it died after a month of use, not a cheap one (could have been one off).

I do have RTX 3070 so G-Sync compatible monitor is probably a preference, currently don't have one so I can't really tell.

Any tips/opinions would be much appreciated.

msi mag274qrf-qd is basically a better monitor than the LG for cheaper, wider color gamut and better contrast

  • 4 weeks later...

Stumbled upon this, cant decide whether the gp850 (440€) is worth 80€ more than the gl850 (370€), too bad I missed the black friday deal for the gp850 at 380 :/

What price is the MSI MAG274QRF-QD for you?

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
