🤔Well, next thing I'd try is running 'SFC /scannow' in the CMD window, preferably in safe mode...you know, to be safe. 🙂

Yes, it can't run while booted to that drive. You have to let it do it at boot. Hit yes and reboot.

Yeah, just type "Y", but I doubt its gonna fix your issue anyway. Does it still show a high usage rate when disconnecting from the internet? Like when not using a browser?

Have you tried setting the apps that are taking up a lot of CPU power to a lower priority setting? Ex. Task manager > details > whichever app, like discord > set priority> low

I'll be honest, this doesn't make a lot of sense. I know you said you did it already but if this was my PC, i'd be making a fresh Win11 (Win 10 if that's your thing) USB installer using a USB stick and wiping that drive with a clean install. As soon as I booted back up into a fresh desktop i'd check task manager.

I'm certain this is something with the OS until I can see otherwise.

Yeah, you might have to completely wipe it out with a true clean install. Just back up what personal files you can. You can always install the actual programs themselves later. And yeah, I'd try a scan with malwarebytes just to be sure.

I would have been interested what the Resource Monitor was saying under the CPU tab.
