Understanding Hwinfo Readings ... and OCing a GPU 3060 12gb

CasoF13

Because i get massive fps drops/stutter/short freezes in combat (mostly only indoor combat and all of it ONLY in ffxv, other games like sottr in 4k nope all well but ffxv ....) playing FFXV (and only during FFXV) i am currently troubleshooting.

But i dont fully understand all Hwinfo Readings. For example my GPU Performance Limit - Reliability Voltage was "Yes" i think during playing FFXV.

Does that mean that my GPU needs a higher Power Limit ? i am using a rtx 3060 12gb which i oc to get a little bit of extra performance.

Afterburner Settings 120%Powerlimit with 88 Temp Limit, CoreClock +160 and MemoryClock +920. Also mostly/only during FFXV gaming my GPU reaches with the oc temps of 78,2 max and hotspot 90,5 max are they safe ? in other games hotspot maxes out at roughly 86C

Also from what i read FFXV has a memory leak, my hwinfo readings in this are

virtual-memory-available 67,964mb

virtual-memory-lkoad 89,9%

physical-ememory-used 37,748mb

physical-memory-available 60,285

does this readings mean that ffxv uses over 37gb ram ! (but not the enitre ram) and uses ontop 68gb of pagefile !

plz help

Youre not expected to. HWiNFO pretty much reads everything that the system spits out as info. For GPU in particular, take a look at GPU Memory Usage for VRAM use, but honestly focus on the clock as theyre going to impact the performance the most. As long as your memory usage isnt pegged at 100%, you should be in the clear.

What stress testing app do you use?

hwinfo says 99 vram usage in ffxv (rtx 3060 12gb)

for testing in general heaven benchmark and realbench 30min and of course testing a few (from my perspektive gpu intenisve games (games that always have a 100& gpu usage))

Back when I'm playing the game, FFXV does have a tendency to hog a ton of memory over long sessions. I just reboot the system
