Which case it the best for all in one watercooling?

MaxMustermann
Hi guys, I cannot decide betweend those 3 cases: Define 7 , Meshify 2 and Corsair 5000D. I want to use a

Who has any experiences with those cases?

In my opinion they have following problems:

Define 7: bad airflow because of the "closed" front, radiator on top may causes issues with your motherboard

Meshify 2: front looks cheap (plastic? ) , radiator on top may causes issues with your motherboard

Corsair 5000D: mostly only 120mm fans possible, you cannot use radiator in front with a radiator in side panel

The only one I have had some experience with is the Meshify 2. I can say, the photos do not give that case justice. One of my friend has it, and his system really does look nice with it. I can't comment on getting a radiator in the top of it, his system is air cooled, but if you try hard enough you can get a radiator into anything.

The Define 7 is similar in design to the Define S, which I have. While the front IS solid, there are large openings on the sides of the front portion that allow plenty of airflow. Not as much as something with a totally open/mesh front, but it has not cause me any cooling issues.

I'd go with the Meshify if I was looking for a new case because I think they look cool and I've been really impressed with Fractal Design.

Be sure to QUOTE or TAG me in your reply so I see it!

The Meshify and Define are both really good cases for the price. Corsair is a bit overly expensive. The Lian Li o11 Dynamic is for sure worth a look too. It's a little more expensive than the first two, but a little bit cheaper than the Corsair. Tons of room and adjustability. I'm loving my mini so far.

Meshify-2 is performing fine in my experience and was fairly comfortable to build in. I am using a front mounted 360 AIO.

In theory you should be able to fit it up top, but I did not do this, though I did consider going for a 420 AIO in the top mount position originally, at the cost of some front/rear fans etc.

@krakek The problem is the height of the case. When you have certain motherboards then it might be a problem when you also put a huge radiator on top. It may collide with  the cooling mounts of your mb  or with the RAM.

Thanks for your advices, but the O11 Dynamic is a litle bit too "windowy" for me if you know what I mean. A window on the side is enough.

Below you can see the layout of the case with 140mm fans. As you cansee the fans are placed forward of the motherboard itself so, particularly if you are using a 360 AIO, it should work fine, without restrictions.

In my understanding even 420 radiators work, maybe with thickness restrictions (ie only thin radiators) for RAM clearance, but then there are other restrictions, such as the 25mm front/rear 140mm fans being a reall tight fit if at all possible.

@krakekThanks you made my choice easier. Then I think I will go with the Meshify 2 🙂

One more question,of what kind of material is the mesh in the front? Plastic?
