Go to solution Solved by Kotoezh,

Budget: 415 dollars

I play lots of games like r6:siege, apex, BF:5 and lots of other stuff. The point is - i also edit videos (AE) and make 3d renders/physics sim (blender).
I have 2 cpus in my sight (for AM4 socket): 3900x and 5800x. While 3900x has more cores - 5800x benches for single core are way higher.
I'm searching for help, deciding between them, cuz i rly can't understand wich will make more sence in that case.
Thank you in advance :)

My rig rn:

32gb ddr4 3200 cl16 (16x2)

750w thermaltake 80bronse psu
3070 slightly OC'd version
ryzen 5 3600

GIGABYTE B550M DS3H

cooler won't be a problem.

5800x out performs 3900x in AE and is marginally slower in Blender.

DW, AMD did really well with Zen 3 and people are still kind of underestimating it for workstation tasks.

concerned whether or not this mobo can handle the higher core count ryzens. It's a fairly low quality mobo.

Yeah, forgot to mention that I'll buy new mobo (Auros elite b550 v1)

It is better, but just a tiny bit.

Hope it will be capable of running 5800x/3900x, cuz on paper it should work.
