Inspiron 580 usb

I have an Inspiron 580 motherboard there are two empty places for internal usb headers and I am curious if I can solder a usb header to the board and have it work

In theory... the worst that could happen is nothing. Unless they're incorrectly connected by traces you can't see to something that would make it break 😉

You would probably also have to solder other components and chips to all those other empty spaces with the solder pads.
