Liquid Cooling for EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3

he did mention you'll need additional thermals pads lol

i'm also using bykski on my 3070

I was wondering if any one had advice on cooling for a EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 I was thinking of doing a water block on it but I am no familiar with any of the brands and how to select one on the other hand I can get a EVGA hybrid cooler but don't know if it will fit or be enough to cool it 100C when I do heavy 8k rendering.

I have a Thermaltake Tower 900 and will be putting in a corsair icue xh305i.

If anyone has any advice on which I should do and point me in a direction it would be much appreciated.

I like the EVGA hybrid setup but not for the 3090 since it does not do anything for the back of the card.

A setup that has a water cooled backplate as well would do the trick. Bykski makes one for your card.

I have a MSI Gaming X Trio 3090 that is in my production only computer that uses a CM H500M case.  All I had to do was have enough airflow across the back plate to carry the heat away so the ram hits 90c but never above. It runs cool enough so I will be leaving it alone.

Both of my 3080 tis have been a pain as well to cool even without ram on the back.

The best solution so far has been from a lian li o11 dynamic case setup so that all the fans above the GPU are exhaust and the intakes are all below the GPU so lots of air moves past the GPU.

Nvidia and the board partners need to rethink their cooling solutions for these cards since the same old thing is not working.

So does EK.

Bykski and Barrow products are okay for the money, but if you pay 1500-2000USD (or more) for a GPU ... just pay for a top shelf watercooling product.

You don't buy a 911 Porsche and run it on 95 octane fuel and some cheap all season tyres ... it's fine to do so on a Corolla but not on a 911.

The Porche analogy doesn't really work.

I have EK products and they are ok but they are not luxury items.

Instead of critiquing my contribution why don't you recommend the EK to the OP.

This is what I drive and it does not take regular fuel either.

I ended up ordering the bykski and thermal pads mentioned in the video. Thanks for the help and advice.

In terms of performance (top and bottom can vary per setup). Top are very close

1. Optimus (delta t of under 10degrees and backplate that rivals ekwb active). 270usd for blemish and 300-320usd for regular. 4-6week finish. They just came out with ceratoke ceramic finish (super nice).

https://optimuspc.com/pages/cerakote

2. Aquacomputer/Watercool/Techn

- German Brands with exceptional quality and performance (not far behind optimus). More industrial design. Pricing is equal to slightly more than EKWB.

Rest i don’t know but they are all similar EKWB/Corsair/Barrows/Bykski/Phantek/Bitspower/Alphacool
