C drive upgrade

NLamki

Hello, I currently have a 500gb ssd as a C drive and was hoping on upgrading to 1tb. I plan on using the old C drive as a normal drive. Is there a way to remove windows from the C drive without having to format the drive?

Normally you would just clone the 500 gb to your 1 TB drive so you don't have to reinstall anything. That is unless you had planned on reinstalling the OS? In that case your data and such would be on the 1TB and I don't see why you would not format the 500 GB at that point? (After verifying everything works and you have what you need)

The best way of doing this would be create a temporary folder on your new drive when you have Windows installed, selectively copy everything over you want to keep and format the old drive at that point, and just move that stuff back again.
