Incredibly poor OBS performance with relatively high end hardware

Ive griped on my own time about how poor the OBS performance is with AMD hardware but it has to be something else at this point. 

 

The issue being that whenever I try to record using OBS the FPS impact in games is way too heavy. Minimum 20 FPS is shaved off the moment you hit record. This should not be happening with a GPU such as the RX 6800M. For comparison my old 1650 could easily record using OBS while barely losing 5 FPS when recording 

 

So if anyone has any kind of idea as to what is going on with my hardware do let me know

I have done OBS recording on a CPU and its sucks.

uhh I think its hardware encoding you want. But I don't rember for GPU's

The problem is that the FPS hit happens on hardware GPU encoding. Ive tried using both the Vega IGPU and the RX 6800M and both end in horrible performance hits

Ok than I have no idea I am kinda ok at OBS b ut not good at encoiding
