Looking for an Inexpensive MP3 Player

Cringelix

Hello, I am looking for an MP3 player preferably under 50 USD that can be bought on Amazon, might do eBay but I am unsure. I have a lot of CDs that I wanna listen to on the go but my current phone (Pixel 3a) does not have an TF card slot for me to simply load music on and play. Bluetooth, good and loud audio is a big must, I do not care much about looks and such. Any recommendations? Thank You.

I don't think I understand why you can't use your phone anyways, why not just transfer the data using the cloud

I have over 20GB+ of Music, I already have limited storage on my phone, I'd just like to have music instead of paying for a streaming service. My data isn't too good either so it's not the best when doing anything other than basic social media.

Are cd's better than an sd card?

Perhaps get a basic phone Android phone, slap an SD card and use it just for music playback. Most Mp3 players under 50 bucks nowadays are just garbage that will break within a few months.

Like there are ones like AGPTEK on Amazon... but if DankPods have taught me anything... they're built like crap with a clunky UI.

80 bucks for a Sansa Clip... I remember being able to get a Fuze for that sort of money.

I was looking into that but imo I feel like most basic Android phones don't allow for a full quality sound experience. There's a large sound difference in both headphone jack and Bluetooth sound quality from a cheap 100 dollar phone compared to a 250-300+ phone.

Well you're certainly not getting that $250-300+ Phone sound quality from a $50 Mp3 player... even if it is noticeable when played from the crappy headphones most people use.

This was 45$ on aliexpress, took about 2 weeks to arrive but it’s nice.

No plastic on it, gets about 30-40 hours of playback time and a standby Ive yet to see change.
UI is a little weird but nothing crazy, it’s laid out like a file picker. The knob is a menu direction selector.
Plays just about anything short of DSD128 or gigantic DSD>Flac conversions. It will do DSD64 but you have to find the specific model that supports it because not all of the variants do.

Ive been pleased with it, sometimes it has some issues with flac files in particular having artifacting sounds. I just opted to use wav files instead.

What the hell - it's both cheaper and has faster delivery if it's sent from the US instead of China! (I'm EU).

There is a play button on the surface of this player, which is very convenient for you to play music.

Why yes, being able to play my music on a music player is certainly convenient!

2. Due to different personal measuring techniques, there might be 1-3cm error of the physical. Thank you!

What? What? So now centimeters are a matter of personal preference? What? 1-3 cm is NOT a small margin of error for something so god damn tiny.

Holy cripes this was a good laugh, thank you!

Given the price point, there is no point in looking for a mp3 player/DAP if you want good sound quality.

If you're dead set on a dedicated music player, i wouldn't really recommend anything under the HiBy R2 if you need bluetooth.

The Sansa Clip has a bit of a cult following, i used to have one, didn't really think it was anything that special, just note that not ALL of the Sansa models have bluetooth

Does this have a Bluetooth functionality?

Sadly no, there are other aliexpress options that do which are of similar quality and have a similar button setup though.

Well, you can snag a used LG V20 (over your budget of 50, but can be had at below 100). I was using one a wayz back and it has unmatch audio with its HiFi QuadDAC. You can't find better audio on any handphone...even now. The V20 has a mSD expansion slot, so you'd be able to store tons of music.
