Yes. But I would take the 5600X over the 3700X because it's cheaper and is able to get the same performance, or even in some scenarios, better.

the only reason why I picked the 3700x over the 5600x I thought the more cores and more threads would be better for beamng

Oh damn. Didn't knew you could get that card for that price.

Yeah AMD is much better with the shortages. It performs identical to a 3060, but is currently like 50% cheaper (at least here)

For the monitor I recommend an AOC C24G2. It's not on PCPartPicker but can often be found for ~300AUD. A CQ27G2 is better (1080p vs 1440p) but also costs a little more. The RAM and cooler have RGB versions if you want that, but I chose the ones without RGB because it's cheaper

How about this list? Solid PSU, not the best case but a current generation GPU.

Maybe you can fit it all in your budget-

Just within budget and a great 1440p 100fps+ gaming machine in the games you described.

Gpu wise you might have to drop down depending on what you can get. The psu I added can do up to a 3090 with this system so no worries there and it was cheaper than other lower wattage units whilst being the better psu.

mATX cases aren't as cheap as some full ATX models. Thats why I went with a compact full ATX case

Maybe something like this?

Leaves about 1000aud for the gpu so maybe you can find a 3070 or 3060?

And you definitely should overclock the ram cause 3000mhz is pretty slow for ryzen, if you just want a simple ram oc just set it to 3200 or more and dont touch anything else

Honestly your setup isn't terrible there, I'd just add in an SSD whether that be M.2 or SATA honestly, because you will see SUCH a drastic difference. Nvidia is also pretty good for gaming but I guess if you wanted to go Team Red then sure. Also, I wouldn't use an MSI PSU, probably overpriced for what it is and I've never seen anybody use one before except for prebuilts.
