it will probably be ok unless you plan on overclocking

1. No it will not. The CV450 is designed for lower-wattage systems such as a 3400G and a 1050 Ti, not a power-hungry monster like the 10900X. On the PSU tier list it's Tier D.

you can enter the rest of your system and see for yourself here

2. All PSU calculators are complete garbage because they go off TDP. TDP is not how many watts a processor consumes - the 9900K has a TDP of 95W but it consumes much more than that, reaching at least 250W under extreme load.

Yes, you should definitely upgrade your PSU.

A PSU that comes to mind is the Corsair RM650, though I don't know too much about power supplies to make a good recommendation.

The 9900KF does not consume 95W at max load. You will need more than 450W.

Again, look at the RM650.

Are you using a i9-9900KF or i9-10900X?
Those are VERY different CPUs, even if they are both listed as i9 tier.

The i9-9900KF is listed as a "95W" chip, and the i9-10900X is "165W"

HOWEVER, if you read / watch ACTUAL reviews, they can draw WAY more than that.

For example, the 9900K can actually spike up to 200W. Because of Multi-Core Enhancement (MCE), and motherboards violating Intel specs / guidelines.

Boost the CPU higher, and for longer.

I don't understand this...

You have a $400 USD budget for a power supply...

You are willing to spend $500+ on a i9-10900X CPU...

But you want to cheap out on a low quality power supply....

If the power supply dies, it can take OTHER / ALL other components with it... including CPU, motherboard, graphics card....

If you haven't been following with the Gigabyte power supply problem... Gamers' Nexus lost a RTX 3080 because of a crappy Gigabyte power supply.

A $1700+ graphics card, because of a ~$120 power supply...

My parrents don't want me to spend much money on this kinds of stuff
