sub woofer popping sound then no audio

hello,

 

so i was just using my computer as normal watching videos ect. then I hear a thump/pop sound from my subwoofer and then no audio from speakers. Red light is still turned on so speakers have power but no audio is playing. i have creative soundblasterX Kratos s3 speakers if thats any help. The thumping sound can also be heard whenever i plug the speakers powercable in but still no audio. 

 

Any suggestions or are they just done?

sounds like it might have blown a cap. might be able to replace it if you know how to solder. otherwise its done

It sounds like the power amplifier died. A repair is probably not feasible compared to the cost of a new unit.
