Checking my first build against people who know their stuff

Budget (including currency): £1500 (+~£100)

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Slime Rancher 2, Civ 6, Modded Minecraft, Modded Terraria, Borderlands 3 ect

I would like to overclock and i would like to play lots of upcoming games, so i just thought i would check my plan against professionals and people who know quite a bit more than i do,

I'd appreciate any help, like if i should change motherboard, if i should get a different power supply, or a differnt cooling system

I already have the Graphics Card, and i searched up if i need a jumpstart but i read that if the motherboard is gen 5 ready so i wanted to know if it will not need a bios update out of the box

here is the link: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/6RYZp2

Thanks for any help

Yep, unless someone builds a small form factor PC, using a single 120mm AIO for CPU cooling makes just a bad value/price ratio.

The CPU needs a 240mm AIO (2 fan radiator) to take full advantage of water cooling, otherwise a high quality air cooler is just better value/price for similar cooling performance.

Not a professional here. Just random opinions.

I would reconsider the m22 cooler. Its definitely one of the better 120mm liquid coolers, but you can get better performance with a cheaper aircooler (like the Scythe FUMA 2) + extra airflow to the motherboards VRM. And if you want real performance boost from overclock (without sacrificing too much on noise) you could consider the Cooler Master MASTERLIQUID ML240L. Personally I have allways loved the Noctua NH-D15, but its kinda hard to defend its size and price.

Im pretty sure the motherboard needs a BIOS update: https://www.mbreviews.com/update-msi-x570-bios-amd-zen3/

The case is nice, though there are similar cheaper ones out there. I dont really have much of an oppinion there, but I would recommend getting an extra fan or switching them out if you want to overclock (this can always be done later).

Your PSU is a good unit, but look again and you will find newer and higher wattage ones for cheaper. I like Seasonic and Corsair.
