Need Help! PC died on me..

Chuvak1212

Hello guys! So yesterday my PC randomly shut down and didnt turn on. I wasnt playing games or anything.. when i pressed power on button, lights came on and suddenly turn off again (1-2 second). it had no reaction since then. But when i unplug it from wall outlet, it powered on for 1 second and then quickly died again. So i think its PSU and not motherboard.. right? I want to buy a good quality PSU, but local market doesn't have (Cons of living in 3rd world country), so i have to buy it from amazon or newegg, which takes like 2 weeks to deliver. I work from home and i really need my PC today. So i was thinking about buying cheap PSU for 2-3 weeks. is it safe? I use my PC for gaming as well. I was thinking about XILENCE (yeah i heard this brand first time as well). what other cheap brands do you guys suggest, that wont ruin my PC?

My specs:

Asrock B chispet mobo

i5 9600K

8x2 2666mhz ripjaws

RTX 2060 Super

RM550x Psu

P.S are PSU's fixable btw? is it safe?

try not to cheap out on psu's even if its for 2 weeks. and as far as i know(im not an expert) if psu's die they could kill other stuff like the gpu and mobo so id say try making sure they are working before splurging on a psu

Cooler Master MWE V2 units have high ripple issues on very low load also resulting in increased coil whine, fix pending. But it should do fine with your specs

I was thinking of another company. Xilence is alright actually. I think Cooler Master and Xilence are using the same units in many cases actually

I need this PSU for some time, like 3 weeks or maybe one month. I want to buy EVGA supernova G2 80+ gold. i had that on my old PC and it lasted like 8 years and now my brother is using it with no issues

Hello guys.

Couple of days ago i posted here about my issue with my PC. it had no reaction when i pressed power on button so i bought a new PSU from local market. I installed it and it turned on without a problem. For 3 days i had no issue (PC is on like 12hours a day. 8 hours working and 4 hour gaming). 10 minutes ago it started acting up without a reason. It shut down itself and then turn on itself again. Like, what the hell does it want? I have had this PC since 2019 and it had 0 issues till this week.

Do you think that your computer could be over heating or perhaps shorting somewhere?

I check my temps regularly when gaming and they are average.. how to know if its shorting? its been working for 2 years without an issue.. it didnt shut down for last 1 hour but im kinda concerned about it. I just ordered brand new EVGA supernova G3 (this one which i bought 3 days ago is average PSU) psu from Amazon. If my PC got other issue, i might as well cancel my order..

No bluescreen. It turned off and immediately turned on itself. Can it be faulty motherboard? This PSU is brand new, literally bought it 3 days ago.

probably, you said it shutdown when doing word processing and listening to youtube but fine when playing games for long time, so i guess it could be a problem

another think was this could be "one of" problem and never shows up again for somethimes,

oh and what is your full system spec?

I would have assumed this new PSU isnt enough wattage but i tested it out in gaming when the PSU is most power hungry so.. I will keep my eye on it.. ehh..
my specs are

Mobo: Asrock B365M-pro4

ram: 8x2 DDR4 2666 ripjaws

Cpu: i5-9600K

gpu: RTX 2060 Super gigabyte OC edition

Psu: cooler master 500 MWE. (EVGA 550W Supernova G3 is on the way)
