Will a dvi to HDMI cable support 144hz?

Nex_Fin

So i am about to buy the Samsung 144hz curved display (it has a way too long name) so i was wondering, will a dvi d to HDMI cable have 144hz, or will a dvi d to dp port have 144hz? I have a gt1030 oc ddr5, i7 4770, 16gb DDR3 and an 7year old mb, here are some images of the back:

It will probably need to be a DVI-D dual link to HDMI , as single link will probably not be enough. DVI-D dual link supports 1080p at up to 133 hz (effectively 120).

You're not getting 144hz out of a 1030 on anything but your desktop.

IIRC Dual Link DVI-D can support 1080p 144hz. ..barely.

However if its anything other than Dual Link DVI-D, u can forget it.

HDMI would be better choice.
