iPad 8 faster charging not working?

After watching some vids on Youtube I got an Anker 30w IQ charger along with a JSAUX USB C to Lightning Cable, left for at least 1-1/2hrs but only reached 63% from 20%. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Regular iPads don’t support fast charging, only the Air and Pro models do. You’re stuck at 12W max, unfortunately.

This confuses some people because they all ship with USB-PD 20W chargers, but that’s simply a function of Apple consolidating their chargers all into one universal model.
