Still using the old monitor but i got like a few random black screens earlier... then i actually got no image and was forced to shut down PC from POWER BUTTON after about a few minutes with no image.

 

I hope it's not my GPU or PSU malfunctioning.

Probably the monitor not handling the adapted signal well. Or the monitor is having issues.

Ah i don't think i have another one... also planning on switching monitors this weekend, hopefully the problem will go away.

 

It's not even happening all the time the black screens... just like random every few hours... or like 30 min sometimes... really fuckin' annoying.

Get an air blower, or wipe them down with a damp cloth.

The air blower was my first thought also.

 

I'm not sure though kind of cloth i need... i don't want it to shred when i use it on the filters and leave very little bits of pieces of it.

No that wasn't what i meant... was asking about the PSU because a friend from work told me he had 1-2 years ago a PSU that had coil whine.

 

But i honestly have no idea what a PSU with coil whine sounds like... i was mostly asking because if i ever hear like a weird sound coming from the PC, how would i know if it's coil whine ?

When a PSU makes an annoying noise, it's coil whine.

I'm not worrying about anything, i'm just trying to figure out what coil whine sound would sound like so i know what to keep track of in the future.

 

Having the 6 fans on the case does make a little noise + air filter vibration + 1 fan might be making like a little scratching noise (not 100% sure about this one).

 

But i would like to know how the PSU coil whine is so i know what to keep an ear out for in the future.

- RGB Fusion

- APP Center

- Easy Tune

 

He said these should let me adjust my case fans speed at whatever i want even WITHOUT having to enter BIOS.

Yep, those are all viable software.  Try them out.

 

If your fan makes a noise you don't like, replace it. Simple as that.

I searched my MB511 but i can't find what fans it comes with... not sure if they're actually CM's brand or something else... to be fair i'm not even sure if the sound i'm hearing is normal or not... for all i know it might be normal but as it's kinda new to me that's why i thought asking.

Since I have no idea what the sound is... I can't comment on it being normal or not.

 

All fans should be sound free, just the sound of air being moved.  My Fractal fans are quiet, as are my cheap offbrand fans.

 

Noctua fans are highly regarded as far as I can tell, but I don't know others.

 

Why not just get more of the same you just bought, if they work well?

I return with sort of on UPDATE.

 

Temp outside is 32-33'C and the PC has been turned ON for about 35-40 minutes. The idle temp is 37'C and have not checked while gaming yet.

After 15 min in Predator i'm getting 62-63'C

 

I'm not sure though if 15 is actually enough time-wise... curios after 1-2 hours.

15 minutes is more than long enough.  GPU and CPU warm up VERY fast, as soon as they're under load.  You may get a new MAX in 2 hours, if you have a heavier load.

 

You only need 15-30 minutes if you're on water, as the water in the radiator needs to get saturated and that takes a few minutes.

I'm not on water cooling but i do recall a few ago after 70 min in Predator it was also 62'C

 

Temp outside on that day was even cooler like 27'C

 

Guessing this proves that it can handle warm summer days... although where i live in summer it gets up to even 40'C in the shade.

So i was on youtube earlier and decided to go in settings >> windows update to see if there's anything new

 

The windows update window just hanged...

 

1) i tried running AIDA64 to see if something's wrong and it hanged when loading "SMART"...

3) I then i tried closing AIDA64 with task manager but got error and couldn't

2) i then proceeded to restart the PC but that didn't work either

4) i just gave up and manually shut down by pushing the power button for like 5 seconds

5) waited 20 seconds and then turned on PC and everything back to normal

 

I've had windows update hang a few times in the past on my HDD but it never hanged this much... but now this happened on my M.2 NVMe

 

Any idea what could've caused this ?

So the fact that WU was hanging and making my PC unable to restart was normal ?

Nope, just Windows.  Update doesn't always work, sometimes it hangs up on a file installation.

But that's just it... it wasn't trying to install anything... this was just the Windows Update settings window that was refusing to load... explorer was hanging i'd say.

 

It wasn't trying to install any update... that's why i was suprised that it mare my M.2 hang... i mean i'd understand on a HDD but a freakin' M.2 ?
