Does the voltage go up when gaming ?

 

I talking about 3V, 5V and 12V that show up in Aida64 Extreme... do they go up when gaming ?

The voltage for what?  I don't know much about voltages at all, and you're looking for things again.

Not what i meant to say... you know the 3V rail 5V rail and 12V rails right ?

 

Will having 6 fans instead of 1 cause to maybe have higher voltage ?

 

Also should voltage be higher when gaming ?

 

I haven't checked voltage when gaming but i don't want to damage something unintentionally.

Oh, no.  Fans take such low voltage and those rails are static.  They provide power on a 12v rail at all times, for example. I have 7 fans in my case, no impact worth noting.

No idea.  Not something I check at all.  You may have a faulty sensor, not reading it right.

I wasn't looking for voltages.

 

The voltages in Aida64 Extreme are just under the temps and i noticed them... that's why i was asking.

 

Also if what that link says is true and they go up during gaming, won't i fry something ? I'd rather avoid that.

No clue, as I said above.  I don't look at them.  What PSU do you have?  Maybe it's providing bad voltages and you need a new one, or your sensors aren't accurate.  Or it's within spec range.

 

I wouldn;t think they go up when gaming, my limited knowledge of that stuff would say that's the voltage your PSU runs on that rail and the amperage changes to produce wattage.

 

I could be totally wrong though, as I do not care enough to verify my thought process.

DeepCool DQ650 - 650W and it has 5 year warranty.

 

The PSU is brand new... actually everything is brand new since i pretty much upgraded the whole system. Only things that are older are

 

- Seagate - 2TB HDD SATA 3 which is about 7 years old

- WD - 250GB HDD SATA 2 which is about 14 years old and deserves freakin MEDAL OF HONOR for how long it lasted.

 

I don't know if DeepCool makes good PSUs but the main reason i got it cuz they guys at the IT shop told me about it having 5 year warranty.

You can try to find it on the PSU Tier List... 5 year warranty is low for warranties, some have 10 or 12 year warranties.

I don't mean to be rude... but in 20 years or so of upgrading my PC over and over i have never at any store i went encounter a PSU or ANY component with warranty of over 5 years...

 

Even if ordered parts online i never saw any with more than 5 year warranty.

Do me a favor, and yourself one actually... make a signature listing EVERY component.  Similar to mine.  That way anyone can see what all you have instead of asking each time.

Yeah, try that software from Gigabyte.  It should work fine.  All you're doing is controlling fan speed, not working about RGB crap.

I think i might've found a new piece of info regarding case fan speed.

 

Aida64 Extreme says :

 

Chasis 1 - 750 RPM

Chasis 2 - 950 RPM

 

Not sure exactly which of the 6 it's reffering to though.

Got me on that one.  Didn't even know AIDA64 did fan speed, and Chassis 1 and 2 are very generic sounding,

 

The nice thing is those are low speeds, so if it's cooling well with low speeds... very good.

You think that's weird... i had no idea Aida64 can actually tell if the chassis has been open or not.

 

I remember a few years ago it was saying something like "chassis intrusion" after i changed something.
