But that's just it... it wasn't trying to install anything... this was just the Windows Update settings window that was refusing to load... explorer was hanging i'd say.

That's why i wasn't sure if it was normal or not.

Why do you think it's the M.2?  You're focused on this, and it's a Windows thing, NOT a drive thing.

Why are you so dead set that it's the drive?

I'm not dead set that's it's the M.2

I just found it weird that being an M.2 NVMe which as far as i know is probably fastest form of storage that it would cause hanging issues... that's all.

Jesus Christ... it's a freakin' opinion.

Why do you keep insisting that i i'm dead set on it when all i'm expressing is my opinion on the matter ?

YES i find it weird that being on M.2 that it hangs... BECAUSE the M.2 is lightning fast compared to the HDD... that's why i find it weird.

@Dedayog

Wanted to ask if u might know.

What would be a good cooler for my Ryzen 5 3600 ?

Asking because after i upgraded i let the guys at the store to use the cooler i had previously had on my FX 8300 which is a BE QUIET! Shadow Rock LP.

But my BE QUIET! Shadow Rock LP is about about 5 years old i'd say.

Should i get a new cooler for my CPU ?

Is my BE QUIET! Shadow Rock LP too old for the job ?

The LP is fine, as is the stock cooler that came with the CPU.  No need to replace.

So the fact that my Shadow Rock is about 5 years old wouldn't really be an issue ?

Not really sure how long the lifespan of coolers is... specifically the Shadow Rock LP in this case.

I'm not asking again... all i'm asking is if 5 years is considered a lot for a cooler ?

Of course i'd prefer not to change it but it's same as upgrading... when u uograde don't u ussually do that like every 5-6 years ? Hence my comparison regarding the cooler's age.

Also i don't really want it to die in me like after 5 months and fry CPU in the process cuz it won't actually have a cooler on it.

I usually upgrade for a reason.  I ran a 4670K on a Hyper 212 EVO for years until I got my 8700K and wanted to go AIO.  I use that same AIO now on my 9900K, it's over 3 years old now.

I don't upgrade air coolers due to age because it's simply a fan and some liquid filled tubes, which don't have permeation.  As long as the fan spins, it's good.

Who knows when it can fail.  5 days or 5 more years.  *shrug*  No idea.  Do you not have the stock cooler as a backup anyway?

I usually upgrade for a reason.  I ran a 4670K on a Hyper 212 EVO for years until I got my 8700K and wanted to go AIO.  I use that same AIO now on my 9900K, it's over 3 years old now.

I don't upgrade air coolers due to age because it's simply a fan and some liquid filled tubes, which don't have permeation.  As long as the fan spins, it's good.

Who knows when it can fail.  5 days or 5 more years.  *shrug*  No idea.  Do you not have the stock cooler as a backup anyway?

Yeah i have the stock cooler as backup but my Shadow Rock is bigger and better for the job.

Will probably buy a big CPU cooler as backup next year though.

@Dedayog

BTW i noticed something while using AIDA64.

I was looking at my Ryzen 5 3600 temp with AIDA64 Extreme and i noticed that while watching youtube videos or just browsing the web my CPU temps go from like 50 to 60'C

If i just let it and don't do anything for like 30 seconds then temps go down to 39-40'C.

Is this normal ?

AIO = All In One.  Yes, that's the term for a specific type of water cooling.  It means the pump, tubing, radiator and fans come as one unit.  All components In One package.  My AIO below:

Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate

So my curent CM case with 6 fans CPU and GPU wouldn't be reffered to as AIO correct ?

Nope.  That's just a PC, computer, etc.

Now if all that was stuffed into a monitor... you'd have an AIO PC.  All In One's are sold by Apple, Dell, and others etc. as well.

I'm guessing though on a AIO PC you'd pretty much want ONLY AIO cooling right ?

Cuz of the limited space i mean.
